Satan will work ingeniously, in different ways and through different agencies, to unsettle the confidence of God’s remnant people in the true testimony.”

The Last Great Deception in the Remnant Movement: Disparaging the Spirit of Prophecy (Part 1 ) - By Eddy Thompson Azanor
Paul said to the leaders of the Ephesian Church: "28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood. 29 For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.
30 Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.
31 Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears."
Acts 20:28-31

Ellen White tells us:
“The very last deception of Satan will be to make of none effect the testimony of the Spirit of God. ‘Where there is no vision, the people perish’ (Proverbs 29:18). Satan will work ingeniously, in different ways and through different agencies, to unsettle the confidence of God’s remnant people in the true testimony.”
Ellen White, Letter 12, 1890 {ISM 48.3}]
“There will be a hatred kindled against the testimonies which is satanic. The workings of Satan will be to unsettle the faith of the churches in them, for this reason: Satan cannot have so clear a track to bring in his deceptions and bind up souls in his delusions if the warnings and reproof are counsels of the Spirit of God and heeded.”
Letter 40, 1890 {ISM 48.4}
I believe that the very above prophecies of Ellen Write are fulfilling in our time. Satan is working assiduously and ingeniously through different agencies to make Seventh-day Adventists to lose confidence in the Spirit of Prophecies so that he can unsettle our faith and bring in his delusions to bind souls who would otherwise be saved had they taken their time to examine the facts prayerfully.
Let’s consider the efforts of two men who are highly regarded among the great scholars and administrators in recent times in our ranks, yet have led many astray with their delusions by discrediting the authenticity of the Testimonies of Ellen White. They are Drs. Reindeer Bruinsma and Samuele Bacchiochi.
Dr. Reindeer Bruisma was the secretary of the Trans-European Division (the Division incorporates the territories of the United Kingdom, Ireland, Iceland, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Poland, Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, Hungary, Serbia and Montenegro, Macedonia, Bosnia, Slovenia, Croatia, Israel, Albania, Greece, Afghanistan and Pakistan). Now read his words carefully:
“Although Adventists must strongly disagree with aspects of Roman Catholic teachings and practice honesty demands an acknowledgment that in recent decades Roman Catholicism has changed in positive ways in most parts of the world. Now Catholics are not only allowed to read their Bibles, but are encouraged to do so. There is much spirituality in the Roman Catholic Church of which Protestants can be envious. Furthermore, the Catholic Church has formally accepted the principle of religious freedom. It is not fair to suggest that these and other positive development are just window dressing and must, in fact, be watched with suspicion, or that they should be seen as clever tactics to lull other Christians into sleep while the Catholics await a fortuitous moment when they can wipe out other Christians, Adventist first and foremost”
Spectrum, vol.27, Issue 3, Summer 1999.
“Most of what Ellen G. White wrote about Catholicism originated during the period [the nineteenth century], a time in which Adventists perceive that external events on the American scene corroborated earlier predictions. Her increasing authority within the Seventh-day Adventist Church greatly contributed to the general acceptance of an eschatological scenario that received its more-or-less final formulation in this unique late-nineteenth-century American setting. Acceptance of her statements in The Great Controversy and elsewhere as inspired pronouncements, prevented later Adventism from taking another look at contemporary Catholicism while other Protestants were increasingly prepared to do so”
ibid.
“Moreover, Adventists must be willing to acknowledge that modern Catholicism has changed in many ways. It bothers me, in particular, to see how modern Adventist publications still rely mainly on nineteenth-century sources to describe catholic views and intentions.”
Ibid.
So, in summary what Dr. Bruinsma is saying is that Adventists should stop relying on Ellen White writings in evaluating the papacy. He even said we should begin to accept Catholicism the way other Protestants have done. And that it bothers him that our publications are still relying on the writings of Ellen White. We should not forget his assertion that Catholicism has changed and we should not be suspicious of her.
Now, before we are quick to listen to our leader, let’s read this fulfilled prophecy from The Great Controversy:
“The Roman Church now presents a fair front to the world, covering with apologies her record of horrible cruelties. She has clothed herself in Christlike garment; but she is unchanged. Every principle of the papacy that existed in past ages exists today. The doctrines devised in the darkest ages are still held. Let None deceive themselves. The papacy that Protestants are now so ready to honor is the same that ruled the world in the days of the Reformation, when men of God stood up, at the peril of their lives, to expose her iniquity” The Great Controversy, p. 571, emphasis mine).
So you see, beloved, Alberto is right: These Jesuits infiltrators are trying to change our faith by making our publications say nothing politically incorrect about the papacy.
Most importantly, they are trying to destroy our confidence in the Spirit of Prophecy. Guess what that will make us if they succeed? We will stop being the remnant that God can use to call out His dear children out of Babylon. We will fall for all of Satan’s delusions that the Babylonian churches—mother and daughters—have fallen for. Watch and Pray!
